Removing and installing electronics box
Removing
– Remove fuse holder B -SB-, and lay it aside with electrical wires connected → Chapter „Removing and installing fuse holder B [SB]“.
– Unscrew nut -2-.
– Unscrew bolts -1-.
– Remove electronics box -3-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
Tightening torques
♦ → Chapter „Removing and installing fuse holder B [SB]“
Removing and installing fuse holder A [SA]
Fuse holder A -SA- is referred to hereafter as fuse holder.
Removing
– Disconnect battery → Rep. gr.27; Disconnecting and connecting battery A.
Vehicles with vibration isolation strut
– Remove vibration isolation strut → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50; Lock carrier; Removing and installing vibration isolation strut.
All vehicles (continued)
– Release locking devices -arrows-.
– Remove cover -1-.
NOTICE
Risk of interchanging pin assignment.
– Refer to the applicable current flow diagram to obtain information on the exact pin assignment.
– Take photographs of the assignment.
– Mark wires -2-.
– Unscrew nuts of electrical wires -2-.
– Detach electrical wires -2-.
– Remove cable tie on bracket for fuse holder -3-.
– Unscrew nut of positive cable -4-.
– Remove positive wire -4-.
– Release retaining tabs in -direction of arrow-.
– Remove fuse holder with bracket -1-.
– Release locking devices -1-.
– Remove fuse holder -3- in direction of -arrow- from bracket -2-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:
Tightening torques

Fuse holder B -SB- is referred to hereafter as fuse holder.
Removing
– Disconnect battery → Rep. gr.27; Disconnecting and connecting battery A.
– Release locking devices -arrow-.
– Remove cover for electronics box -1-.
– Pull off cover for electronics box -1- in direction of -arrow-.
– Release fasteners -2- in direction of -arrow A-.
– Remove fuse holder -1-.
– Remove protective cap -2- in direction of -arrow-.
– Unscrew nut of electrical wire -1-.
– Detach electrical wire -1-.
NOTICE

– Refer to the applicable current flow diagram to obtain information on the exact pin assignment.
– Take photographs of assignment of electrical wires and fuses.
– Disconnect electrical wiring.
– Remove fuse holder.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:

– Remove fuse holder -1-.
