Removing and installing interior mirror

Removing

– Unclip cover -1- using commercially available plastic wedge -2-.

– Detach cover -1-.

– Unclip cover -1- from mountings in cable duct cover -2-.

– Unclip cover -1- in -direction of arrow-.

– Disconnect electrical connector -2-.

– Insert screwdriver -1- into gap.

– Turn interior mirror -3- at mirror base approx. 20° in direction of -arrow-, and pull it off downwards.

Installing

Reusing interior mirror

– Unscrew bolts -1-.

– Renew spring clip -2-.

– Screw in bolts -1- and tighten them.

All vehicles (continued)

– Make sure that the interior mirror is aligned parallel with the retaining plate.

– Fit interior mirror, turn in anti-clockwise direction and mount on retaining plate.

– Turn interior mirror clockwise until it can be heard to engage.

Tightening torques

Further installation is carried out in reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing this:
